The Square

What is the role/purpose of documentary film in the 21st century?  Through our study of The Square, we are attempting to answer this very BIG question. Students have compiled notes on their viewing based on techniques that we read about in "Defining Documentary."  They have also watched an LA Times interview with the filmmaker, Jehane Noujaim.  Students will be moving on to write a Critical Analysis of the film.
